Detailed cadastral mapping and surveying of the 27 CDA sectors, capturing essential geographic and property-related information.
Client: Survey of Pakistan, Rawalpindi
Year: 2021
The objective was to develop an accurate, geo-referenced land record system to support urban planning, land management, and legal verification. The project required the densification of control points using DGPS to enhance ground accuracy, followed by the geo-referencing of satellite imagery and digital aerial photographs.
Approved CDA sector plans were overlaid and aligned spatially to ensure consistency between existing layouts and ground realities. Our team performed data verification and validation, ensuring the integrity of captured spatial and attribute information. The finalized cadastral data was integrated into a centralized Geographic Information System (GIS) and structured according to the Cadastral Data Model provided by the Survey of Pakistan.
Further, we carried out parcel fabrication, encroachment detection, and analysis of land irregularities and bylaw violations, including a temporal comparison of built-up areas using satellite imagery from 2007 and 2020.
